FreeIMAGE COMPRESSOR

Product Photo Resizer & Compressor

Compress catalog images for fast sharing on WhatsApp and social media.

100% client-side. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored on a server.

A 6 MB photo from a phone camera is fine for a frame and wrong for everything a business does with it: WhatsApp compresses it into mush, marketplaces reject it, the website loads in five seconds on a customer's 4G, and the email bounces. This resizer and compressor brings product and catalogue photos down to the right dimensions and file size for each channel — WhatsApp, Instagram, Amazon/Flipkart/Meesho, your website, GST invoices and email — in your browser, with no upload, no watermark and batch processing for a whole catalogue.

How to use the tool

  1. Drop one image or a folder of them (JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC from iPhones).
  2. Pick a preset — WhatsApp, Instagram, Amazon, website, email — or set width, height and crop (fit, fill, square) manually.
  3. Choose the output format: JPEG for photos, PNG for logos with transparency, WebP for the web.
  4. Move the quality slider; the tool shows the resulting file size live. 80–85% JPEG quality is visually lossless for products.
  5. Download individually or as a ZIP; file names are preserved with a suffix.

Why compression matters for sales

Page speed is a ranking factor and a conversion factor — a product page that loads in 2 seconds instead of 5 converts measurably better on mobile, which is where most Indian shoppers browse. Marketplaces and Google Business Profile also favour sharp, correctly sized images. The pairing that works for most small businesses: shoot in good daylight, remove the background with the background remover, resize here per channel, and write the caption with the social post generator. Which AI tools genuinely help a small shop with images is covered in AI for the small shop in 2026.

Practical tips

  • Keep an original at full resolution; resize copies per channel.
  • Marketplaces want the product filling 85% of the frame on white — crop before resizing.
  • Strip EXIF (the tool does by default) so location data from your phone does not ship with product photos.
  • Name files descriptively (blue-cotton-kurta-front.jpg); it helps image search and your own catalogue.
  • For print (labels, standees), do not compress — export PNG at 300 dpi from the source instead; the price tag generator and UPI standee handle their own resolution.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Resizing and compression run in your browser; images never leave your device.

JPEG, PNG or WebP?

JPEG for photographs (smallest at good quality), PNG for logos and graphics needing transparency, WebP for websites (30% smaller than JPEG at the same quality; supported by all current browsers).

What quality setting should I use?

80–85% for JPEG and WebP is indistinguishable from the original for product photos and cuts file size by 70–90%.

Can I resize many photos at once?

Yes. Drop a folder or select multiple files; the same preset applies to all and the results download as a ZIP.

Does it handle iPhone HEIC files?

Yes — HEIC is converted to JPEG or WebP in the browser.
