Small telecom resellers, PBX and cloud-telephony providers, companies that recover mobile expenses from employees, and businesses that re-bill call charges to clients all need a clear itemised bill: plan rental, usage, add-ons, taxes and the due date. This tool lays out a professional postpaid-style telecom bill in your own business name, with a summary, itemised charges and GST, and exports it as a PDF. It is designed for billing your own customers or documenting reimbursements — not for reproducing any mobile operator's bill.
Who bills telecom charges
- Cloud telephony and IVR vendors billing SMEs for virtual numbers, call minutes and SMS packs.
- Corporate mobile plan administrators recovering personal-usage excess from staff, or allocating costs across departments.
- Franchise and channel partners of operators who invoice enterprise customers for bundles.
- Coworking spaces that provide desk phones or DID numbers to members.
- Freelancers and agencies that pass through call and SMS costs to clients at cost, with a service fee.

How to use the generator
- Enter your business name, GSTIN and logo, then the customer's name, mobile/account number and billing address with state (for CGST/SGST vs IGST).
- Set the billing period and dates. Add the plan rental — the tool pro-rates when you enter activation or change dates.
- Add usage lines with quantity and rate (for example 120 ISD minutes at ₹6.50), add-ons and one-time charges.
- Apply any credits or the previous balance; GST is computed automatically.
- Download the PDF or share a summary on WhatsApp with a UPI QR for the total.
GST on telecom services
Telecommunication services attract 18% GST. For B2B customers, print their GSTIN so they can claim input credit; the place of supply for postpaid services is the billing address of the customer, so a Delhi vendor billing a Bengaluru company charges IGST. Pre-paid packs are taxed at the point of sale. If you merely recover an operator's charge from an employee, that is not a supply — it is a salary adjustment or reimbursement — and needs a note in payroll rather than a GST invoice; see the in-hand salary calculator for how reimbursements interact with taxable pay.
Regulatory reminders for anyone messaging customers
If your business sends promotional or transactional SMS, TRAI's DLT registration rules apply: register the entity, headers and templates, and honour DND preferences. From 2026 the tightened anti-spam norms also cover calls made from business numbers; the practical checklist is in TRAI's new anti-spam rules. Bills sent by SMS should use a transactional template with your registered header.
