SERP Snippet Preview

Simulate how your title tag and meta description look in Google Search on desktop and mobile.

100% client-side. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored on a server.

You can write a perfect 58-character title and still see it cut to "GST Invoice Generator — Free, No Lo…" because Google truncates by pixels, not characters, and a string of capitals and Ws is wider than one of lowercase i's and l's. This tool renders your title, URL and meta description exactly as they appear in Google Search on desktop and mobile, including the favicon and site name, date and breadcrumb variants, so you see the truncation before Google's users do — and fix it in the meta tag generator in the same minute.

What the preview shows

  • Desktop result: favicon + site name line, blue title (≈580 px limit), URL breadcrumb, two-line description (≈920 px).
  • Mobile result: the card layout with the larger favicon, title wrapping to two lines (≈920 px), description at 120–130 characters visible.
  • Variants: with a publish date (for blog posts), with sitelinks, with a rating snippet (if you have Product schema with real reviews), and with an FAQ accordion (see the FAQ schema generator).
  • Pixel meters for title and description with the exact width in the Google font stack.

How to use the preview

  1. Paste the page URL (the breadcrumb is derived from it), the title and the description; or paste a page's HTML and the tool extracts them.
  2. Upload or link your favicon (make one with the favicon generator) and enter the site name Google shows.
  3. Toggle desktop/mobile and the variants; watch the truncation.
  4. Edit until the title's key phrase sits before the cut and the description ends with a full thought.
  5. Copy the final tags from the meta tag generator and publish.

What Google actually shows

  • Google rewrites about a third of titles — usually when the title is too long, stuffed, boilerplate ("Home"), or does not match the H1. Consistent, descriptive titles are rewritten least.
  • Descriptions are replaced by page text when they do not match the query; a description that answers the likely query survives.
  • The site name comes from Organization/WebSite schema and the brand in your title; set it explicitly with schema markup.
  • Dates appear for articles with datePublished in schema or a visible byline; keep them updated.
  • In AI Overviews and AI Mode, the same title and description often become the citation label — see Google AI Mode and local SEO.

Title and description habits that raise click-through

  • Put the searcher's phrase first, the brand last.
  • Use numbers and specifics: "15 mandatory fields", "₹0", "2 minutes", "Noida".
  • Answer, then invite: "Free GST invoice with UPI QR — download PDF or share on WhatsApp."
  • Avoid ALL CAPS and long dashes that eat pixels.
  • Test two titles on similar pages and compare CTR in Search Console after a few weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my title cut off at 55 characters?

Google truncates by pixel width (about 580 px on desktop), and wide characters — capitals, W, M, numbers — use more pixels. The preview measures the real width.

Is the mobile limit different?

Mobile titles wrap to two lines (roughly 920 px) and descriptions show about 120 characters. Check both views; mobile is where most Indian searches happen.

Will Google use my description?

Usually, when it matches the query and the page. Otherwise Google pulls text from the page. Write descriptions that answer the query the page targets.

Can I preview a page that is already live?

Yes — paste the URL and the tool fetches the current title and description (where the site allows), or paste the HTML.

Does the favicon matter?

Yes. It appears beside your site name in results on mobile and desktop; a missing or blurry icon lowers trust and click-through.
