The questions customers ask you on WhatsApp are the questions they type into Google. Put those questions and your answers on the page, mark them up with FAQPage structured data, and search engines can show them as expandable Q&As under your listing, quote them in AI Overviews, and understand the page better. This generator turns your questions and answers into valid JSON-LD FAQPage schema with a live preview, ready to paste into your page's <head> or a WordPress/Shopify block, all in your browser.
What FAQ schema does (and does not) do
- It tells Google the page contains a list of questions with a single answer each, written by the site.
- Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results mainly for well-known authoritative sites, so do not expect accordions in every listing — but the markup still helps AI Overviews and AI Mode understand and quote your answers, and it costs nothing. The 2026 picture for local businesses is in Google AI Mode and AI Overviews are changing local search.
- It is not for user-submitted Q&A (that is QAPage), not for advertising, and answers must be visible on the page in the same words.
How to use the generator
- Add each question and its answer. Keep answers to 1–3 sentences (40–300 characters); the preview shows how they read.
- Basic formatting in answers (links, lists, bold) is supported; the tool encodes HTML correctly.
- Copy the JSON-LD
<script>block and paste it into the page<head>or body — WordPress: a Custom HTML block or your SEO plugin's schema field; Shopify: theme.liquid or a section; any builder's "custom code". - Make sure the same Q&As appear as visible text on the page.
- Validate with Google's Rich Results Test (linked in the tool) and re-check after edits.
Writing FAQs that work
- Use the customer's words: "Do you deliver to Noida Extension?" not "Service area".
- One question, one direct answer; details can follow the first sentence.
- Cover price, delivery, GST invoice, returns, timings, payment modes, customisation, warranty.
- Put 4–8 questions per page; add page-specific FAQs to product and service pages rather than one giant FAQ page.
- Keep answers factual and current; an out-of-date "Diwali offer till 31 October" quoted by an AI Overview is a bad look.
Combining with other schema
A local shop page usually carries LocalBusiness (name, address, hours, phone), Product or Service, BreadcrumbList, and FAQPage. Generate the others with the schema markup generator and place each as its own <script type="application/ld+json"> — or combine them in an @graph. Pair with a good title and description from the meta tag generator and check the result in the SERP preview.
