FreeGYM CARDS

Gym Membership Creator

Format high-contrast fitness center subscriptions and gym registration vouchers.

100% client-side. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored on a server.

Gyms, yoga studios, crossfit boxes, swimming pools and martial-arts academies sell time: a month, a quarter, a year. The membership card or voucher is the document that says who paid, for what plan, from when to when — and it is what a member shows at the door and what you point to when a dispute over the expiry date comes up. This tool creates membership cards and subscription vouchers for your own fitness business: member details and photo, plan, validity, batch timing, amount paid, terms, and a QR encoding the membership ID for check-in. Export as a wallet-size card, an A6 voucher or a PDF, all built in your browser.

GST on gym and fitness services

Fitness and physical well-being services attract 18% GST (SAC 9997). Registration is mandatory above ₹20 lakh annual turnover; below that you may charge without GST but must not print "GST" on the voucher. Annual memberships are taxed when the payment is received, not spread over the year. Yoga classes conducted by a charitable trust registered under Section 12AA/12AB are exempt, but commercial yoga studios are taxed at 18%. For members who want a formal receipt for corporate wellness reimbursement, issue a GST invoice or a payment receipt with the same membership number.

How to use the generator

  1. Set up your gym profile once — name, logo, address, phone, GSTIN — saved locally in your browser.
  2. Add the member: name, photo (cropped automatically), phone, plan, start date. The end date is computed from the plan length.
  3. Enter the fee, payment mode and date; toggle GST on or off.
  4. Choose card (85.6 × 54 mm, credit-card size) or voucher (A6) and a colour theme.
  5. Download PNG or PDF. Print cards on PVC or laminate the paper version; the QR carries the member ID for a scanner-based check-in log.

Running memberships well

  • Make renewal dates visible: print the expiry large on the front and send a WhatsApp reminder a week before using the WhatsApp direct link.
  • Offer a freeze rather than a refund; put the policy on the voucher and on your website using the refund policy generator.
  • Photo on every card stops the one-card-many-cousins problem.
  • Track retention: a gym that keeps 60% of members past month three is healthy; measure it with the customer retention rate calculator.
  • Price plans on capacity: know your peak-hour utilisation with the capacity utilization tool before discounting evening slots.

Frequently asked questions

Does a membership voucher count as a receipt?

If it shows the amount, date, mode and your GST details, most employers accept it for wellness reimbursement. For corporate clients, issue a proper tax invoice.

What GST rate applies to gym memberships?

18%. Charge it only if you are registered; small studios below ₹20 lakh turnover need not register.

Can I add a check-in QR?

Yes. The QR encodes the member ID. Scan it at the desk with any QR scanner (or the Kaagazo scanner) and log the visit.

What card size should I print?

The card layout is standard CR80 (85.6 × 54 mm), the same as a debit card, so any PVC card printer or lamination pouch fits.

Are refunds mandatory if a member stops coming?

No law forces refunds for unused membership, but your terms must be clear at sale and not unfair under the Consumer Protection Act. A freeze option is the usual middle ground.
